Diver , Instructor and Instructor Trainer Training

February and March 2011 will be the next training session by Scott in the Riviera Maya. This time training will be done for divers , Instructors and Instructor Trainers in a number of different levels ranging from Advanced EANx Instructor Crossover through and including Advanced Cave Specialty Levels of Side-Mount , Stage and Hypoxic Trimix. The below calendar is the near exact schedule that will be taking place. Some changes for weather and needs can be made but these training levels are going to take place.. ( last spot are available).

Training Plan February – March 2011

February 17, 18, 19, 20 Technical/Normoxic Diver and Instructor

Must be Adv EANx Diver or Instructor prior to start date.

February 21, 22, 23 Cavern/Intro Diver and Instructor

Must have assisted programs and have requirements met prior to start date.

February 24, 25, 26 Specialty Diver and Instructor (DPV and SM)

These dates will be both Open Water and Overhead courses. Space is very limited.

February 28, March 1, 2, 3 MK6 Discover Diver and Instructor

Here we will do a complete diver program and a number of instructor assessments. People who want to join from other agencies and upgrade to IANTD must have a number of requirements met prior to start date.

March 4, 5 Hypoxic Trimix Dives

Must be Normoxic Trimix divers or Instructors prior to start.

March 6, 7, 8, 9 Technical Cave Diver and Instructor

Must be Intro to Cave Divers / Instructors prior to start date.

They spend a week with us and we enjoy a lot the dives with them. They did 7 tanks in the ocean + 2 tanks in Cozumel + 2 tanks in the cenote. They had to get up every morning at 5:30 in order to catch the ferry, drive an hour to Playa and make it to the Shop by 8:30. They said: "it absolutely worth the effort".
Thanks Andrew and Devin we hope to dive again with you next year.

We pick up you around 6, 6:30 a.m. and at 8 a.m. we are ready to set off in the boat to search for the whale shark.

Once we reach the feeding area we will spend approximately 3 hours with the wale sharks and manta ray. After this amazing experience we will stop to snorkeling on a Caribbean reef close to Isla Mujeres (Dolphin and turtles 80% chances to see them in the way).

When we get back on the boat there will be a lunch of shrimp ceviche waiting for you; after eating we will be back to Punta Sam.

We will be back at Punta Sam at 3 p.m. approximately.

The tour include:

  • air conditioned transport
  • continental breakfast
  • water and soft drinks throughout the day
  • beer after 12:30
  • fish and shrimps ceviche
  • sandwiches available on the boat when ever you want
  • complete snorkeling equipment and life jacket
  • bilingual guides

What to bring:

towel, sunglasses, bio degradable sun tan lotion, hat, sandals, wet suit.
